WirelessCar has joined the Eclipse Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) Working Group, reinforcing its commitment to open, code-first collaboration as a foundation for the future of automotive software.

Eclipse SDV is an open-source initiative under the Eclipse Foundation that brings together industry stakeholders to address shared, non-differentiating challenges in software-defined vehicles. Through open collaboration, the working group aims to improve software quality, accelerate innovation, and support the development of scalable SDV platforms.

WirelessCar brings over twenty-five years of experience in developing and operating secure, scalable services for connected vehicles to the Eclipse SDV community. The company’s ambition is to help strengthen the quality and practical applicability of Eclipse SDV projects, ultimately delivering greater value to OEMs and end customers.

“WirelessCar joined Eclipse SDV to continue leading the way in shaping the future of automotive software,” said Tomas Carlfalk, VP of Software Defined Vehicles at WirelessCar. “We strongly believe in open, code-first collaboration as the foundation for software-defined vehicles, enabling faster innovation, delivering real end-customer value, and empowering the next generation of mobility.”

“Eclipse SDV brings together organizations from across the automotive ecosystem to address the shared engineering challenges of software-defined vehicles,” said Mike Milinkovich, Executive Director of the Eclipse Foundation. “WirelessCar’s expertise in connected vehicle services and its track record of delivering secure, scalable solutions, will strengthen our community and the important work being done to advance the next generation of software-defined mobility.”
