Scaling call center services across global markets

Scaling Connected Call Center Services Across 40+ Markets

A global vehicle manufacturer needed to modernize its call center platform without disrupting safety-critical services such as emergency and roadside assistance. By migrating to a cloud-based, multi-tenant solution, WirelessCar enabled a phased global rollout across 40+ markets, onboarding 30+ call centers in three weeks while maintaining continuous service availability and creating a faster, scalable model for future expansion.

Challenge

As connected vehicle services expand globally, it becomes increasingly challenging to ensure a consistent and reliable customer experience. For life-critical services such as emergency (eCall) and roadside assistance (bCall), reliability is critical.

WirelessCar’s legacy call center platform had supported a global OEM for many years. However, evolving regulatory requirements (e.g. safety standards such as Euro NCAP), increasing complexity, and the need for new capabilities made it necessary to transition to a modern, scalable solution.

At the same time, the operational landscape was highly distributed:

  • The Customer has a global rollout spanning 40+ markets across all major regions
  • Multiple call center operators per market
  • A mix of API integrations and client-based setups
  • A wide range of services, from emergency calling to connected vehicle features

Each market represented a unique combination of services, suppliers, and configurations, creating a highly distributed ecosystem that needed to be migrated without disrupting live, safety-critical operations.

Solution

WirelessCar introduced a new cloud-based, multi-tenant call center platform designed for scalability, flexibility, and rapid deployment. To minimize risk, the migration followed a phased rollout approach, avoiding a traditional “big bang” transition. A key capability was the ability to run old and new platforms in parallel, allowing traffic to be shifted gradually and ensuring continuous service availability at all times.

The platform enabled:

  • Standardized configurations across markets with local flexibility
  • Fast provisioning of new call center environments
  • Support for both API-integrated operators and client-based users

WirelessCar worked closely with call center operators globally, providing training, live demonstrations, and technical support to ensure all stakeholders were ready ahead of each rollout.

Rapid Global Deployment at Scale:

  • 40+ markets migrated globally across Europe, Asia-Pacific, North and South America, Africa, and Oceania
  • Over 30 call centers onboarded across multiple markets in just 3 weeks
  • Up to 6 call center migrations executed in a single day

This level of rollout intensity is rare for safety-critical services and required that WirelessCar execute large-scale global deployments with precision.

Zero Downtime for Critical Services:

All migrations were completed without interrupting live services, ensuring continuous availability of emergency and support functions throughout the transition.

Improved Efficiency and Scalability:

  • New markets can now be onboarded significantly faster, reducing lead times from weeks or months to days
  • Platform setup accelerated from weeks of manual work to just hours
  • Service transitions were completed in minutes without disruption

The rollout established a reusable deployment model that supports faster expansion across additional markets and services.

Enhanced User Experience:

Call center agents benefit from a more intuitive interface and improved access to real-time vehicle data, enabling faster and more effective response in critical situations.

Why It Works

The new platform is built with scalability, automation, and flexibility at its core, enabling consistent service delivery across a highly diverse global landscape.

The ability to operate systems in parallel and shift traffic seamlessly removes the traditional risks associated with large-scale migrations.

Combined with strong cross-functional collaboration,WirelessCar has established a proven, repeatable rollout model, capable of handling complex, multi-market environments with speed and precision.
