News & Events Building for Global Growth: Ajay Sundar on Leading WirelessCar’s New Site in India November 17th, 2025 WirelessCar is expanding its global presence with the establishment of a new delivery site in Bengaluru, India. Appointed to lead this important initiative is Ajay Sundar, WirelessCar’s first Country Manager for India. A Computer Science Engineer by education, Ajay brings extensive experience in the telecommunications and automotive software industries. In his most recent role as Director of Shared Services and Site Manager for Volvo Group Connected Solutions in India, he led the delivery of connectivity services to the Volvo Group from India. Already well known and appreciated at WirelessCar for his collaboration on numerous projects with customers such as JLR, Subaru of America, and Mercedes-Benz, Ajay has established strong relationships across the organization. He will now play a key role in building WirelessCar’s operations in India and strengthening our global delivery capabilities in one of the world’s fastest-growing automotive markets. We spoke with Ajay to hear his thoughts on the automotive market in India, the new WirelessCar office, and his vision for the future. Can you tell us a little about the automotive market in India? India is one of the top five global automotive markets. There is an increasing demand for SUVs and a growing preference for electric and hybrid vehicles. Customers are also placing greater emphasis on in-car entertainment and safety features, which presents great opportunities for WirelessCar to engage in the Indian market. WirelessCar is starting up a new office and delivery site in India. Tell us about your role and the new team you will lead. Our initial ambition is to support and develop the India site as an extension of WirelessCar’s global delivery organization. Having held leadership roles in software development and team building before, this journey will feel familiar in many ways. It is a great opportunity to lay the right foundation from the start, and I am excited to be part of this fantastic journey. How have you gone about setting up the new delivery site? We initially partnered with an external firm to recruit and onboard team members in India. We have conducted onboarding sessions and established the WirelessCar way of working, which is based on collaboration, innovation, and stability. Next, we will focus on strengthening our teams’ understanding of WirelessCar’s operations and values, enabling them to deliver effectively while we continue to build our culture and scale the organization. Our goal is for the teams in India to operate largely independently, with processes and structures in place for seamless collaboration across WirelessCar’s global organization. What drives you professionally, and what do you see as possible for WirelessCar in India? I gain a lot of energy from working with teams, developing common goals, and achieving them together. The current global market conditions and rapid technological advances bring challenges that we will address as we develop WirelessCar India. Will WirelessCar also be looking for new business opportunities in India? Our immediate focus is on establishing the WirelessCar entity and brand in India while setting up the delivery teams. Once the organization is in place, we will begin to explore new business opportunities in this exciting and growing market.
