WirelessCar began researching China as an emerging telematics market as early as 2007. To show local potential customers that WirelessCar can deliver services in China, a pilot project was implemented during 2008. During this pilot WirelessCar gained a lot of knowledge about local challenges for delivering telematics services in China.
During a number of demonstration session in 2009 a live Breakdown-call (B-call) was demonstrated with a live call center operator and vehicle from a call center in Beijing.
